WIKA Lands Vital Rp15.5 Trillion IKN Infrastructure Projects

The ongoing development of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) project has enabled PT Wijaya Karya (WIKA) to secure a contract worth Rp15.5 trillion as of September 2024. The contribution from the new contract is focused on the Infrastructure and Building segments, followed by the Industry, Property, and EPCC segments. 



The infrastructure needs from Nusantara Capital City (IKN) is highly in demand for the development and construction, which are a crucial part to supporting the new Capital of Indonesia.


The contract contains a list of development and key infrastructures such as Sukamahi Glass Bridge (West Java), Sepaku Ring Road 4 and Hankam Area (IKN East Kalimantan), and the Flood Control Project in Demak, Central Java. As well as several other contracts that have been obtained from both the parent company and its subsidiaries

Agung Budi Waskito, CEO of WIKA, stated that the company is committed to developing key infrastructures that are accessible for all individuals and supports the connectivity of the new capital, IKN. WIKA has been entrusted by the Indonesian Ministry of Public Works to undertake the Sepaku Ring Road 4 and Hankam Area IKN project, valued at Rp945 billion. 



This initiative builds on a continuation of a previous project, the East National Axis Road, also located in IKN. Furthermore, Agung Budi Waskito also ensured the public that every phase of construction will meet the highest standards, with continuous innovation driving progress to ensure the success and advancement of these vital national projects.

In this project, WIKA employs Building Information Modeling (BIM) Level 5D digital technology with the ability to determine potential errors during the planning stage, reduce costs, provide estimates and material requirements. 



WIKA is also undertaking the construction of a 6.89 kilometer road within IKN Central Government Area (KIPP), connecting the Hankam Area with the national road in Sepaku to enhance local accessibility. Aided by BIM, WIKA plans to reduce errors, streamline costs, and evaluate material needs for completion by 2026. 


WIKA also constructed the Multi-Utility Tunnel (MUT), a tunnel that accommodates entire water pipelines to fiber optics and electrical cables in IKN, encouraging the sustainability of infrastructure that provides easy accessibility benefits for all individuals.
